Tim Schnabel Leaves the Lab to Start Switch Bioworks

After over a decade at Stanford, Entrepreneur in Residence and Postdoctoral Research Fellow Dr. Tim Schnabel is leaving Stanford to be the founder and CEO of Switch Bioworks. Built upon his research while at Stanford, Switch Bioworks engineers symbiotic microbes to produce sustainable nitrogen fertilizer under the control of precise genetic circuits. The lab is so excited for Tim and wish him the best of luck with his future endeavors!
